The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office now posts photos of unclaimed corpses on its Web site.

“For all the discomfort that it may [create] . . . it’s worth it to reunite some families,” a city official said.

Denver cops are hot on the trail of the so-called Thong Bandit.

The “bandit” is really a flasher who runs up to women and rips off his clothes — save for his decorative thong, which so far has come in pink and black.

“It’s a crime to expose yourself to folks,” a cop said. “We need to make sure he doesn’t take that next step.”

Roy Lacy may still be wondering how he managed to get charged with robbing three Orlando, Fla., banks — each of which captured him and his distinctive body art on surveillance video.

Lacy reportedly said he got the tat because it looked “punk rock.”

The owner of this Pittsburgh print shop has figured out how to make crime pay.

It was vandalized and its front window smashed — yet Dan Rugh made $1,150 by auctioning off the brick used to break the glass.

Rugh said the winning bidders were neighbors of his who wanted to take a stand against crime. He added that he planned to use $425 to fix the window, and give the rest to charity.

She’s only a pup but already top dog.

Barbie the Jack Russell terrier is being hailed as a hero in England after she saved her blind, diabetic and sleeping owner from a fire.

As the flames began engulfing their home, Barbie roused Rosemary Field by licking her eyes.

“I can’t do enough for little Barbie now,” said the grateful Fields. “I’ve been giving her lots of treats since it happened.”
