Sears steal

Billionaire hedgie Edward Lampert has agreed to take a salary of $1 a year to continue as Sears CEO. He’ll also receive $4.5 million in stock a year and participate in an incentive plan with a target payout of $2 million.

Despite Superstorm Sandy’s toll, New Jersey had a record $40 billion of tourism in 2012, according to Gov. Chris Christie. The figure surpasses the Garden State’s 2007 high of $39.5 billion.

Barclays

Barclays, the second-largest UK bank by assets, paid nine execs $61 million in bonuses, less than a year after it was fined in an interest-rate rigging scandal. The bank is cutting 3,700 jobs in 2013.

Citigroup sell

Citigroup has sold a $415.9 million collateralized loan obligation, or CLO, for Silvermine Capital Management. CLOs pool high-yield, high-risk loans and cut them into securities.
