Cabby dies in ‘DWI hit-&-run’

An NYU grad student driving a cab to make ends meet was killed yesterday when his taxi was struck by a drunken teenage hit-run driver, cops said.

Ansumana Dukuly was driving his yellow cab in Fresh Meadows, Queens, at around 3:20 a.m. when the deadly crash occurred.

A boozed-up Roberto Depena, 19, of Queens, was behind the wheel of the car that smashed into Dukuly’s vehicle while going 80 mph, police said.

“He was going to go back to Liberia just to help and contribute,’’ said the victim’s grieving brother, Sekou Dukuly.

Depena was charged with two counts of manslaughter and underage drinking and driving.
