Victim testifies in cab-ram trial

A Bronx man yesterday testified in Manhattan court that a “crazed cabby” rammed him and two pals with his taxi to avoid driving them home to The Bronx from Midtown in 2011.

“He said, ‘Get the f–k out of the cab!’ or something along those lines,” apprentice plumber Frank Lembo, 25, said.

Lembo, of Morris Park, and his pals had climbed into Mohammed Azam’s cab at 53rd Street and Sixth Avenue asking to be taken to The Bronx — “but Azam thought they’d said ‘two blocks,’ ” according to testimony in the attempted-murder trial.

“I just remember being hit by the cab and falling forward and being on the hood of the cab,” Lembo testified.

Azam, 29, insists that he was trying get away from the drunk and threatening young men.
