The former live-in personal trainer for Judge Judy’s upstate DA son was busted for choking and raping a 12-year-old girl, authorities said yesterday.
Alexandru Hossu, 35, an illegal immigrant from Romania who lived in the home of Putnam County DA Adam Levy until several months ago, was hauled off to jail Wednesday and charged with two counts of first-degree rape, authorities said.
“This was a vicious crime committed against a little girl,” Putnam County Sheriff Donald Smith said in a statement.
The alleged attacks in 2010, when the victim was 12, came to light when the girl, now 15, told a school counselor, sources said.
Levy — the son of TV’s tough-talking “Judge Judy” Sheindlin — has a 15-year-old daughter, but authorities said she was not the accuser and the alleged assaults did not take place at Levy’s home in the town of Southeast.
Hossu, arraigned in Patterson, was being held at the Putnam County jail.
