Subway electrocution

A man was killed last night when he stepped on the third rail at a Manhattan subway station, police said.

The incident occurred as the victim stood in the track bed on the downtown side of the 6-train Spring Street station at around 10:30 p.m.

After being jolted, he was struck by a train and dragged into the tunnel, cops said.

“This guy was all burnt up,” said a witness, Joe Deroski, 44.

“We came off the train and all you could smell was burning flesh. He looked like he had been on fire.”

The subway station was evacuated, and the line was shut down for about an hour.

The unidentified victim was pronounced DOA. An investigation in ongoing.
