Bomber finally buried – in mystery grave

Now he can rot in peace.

Boston bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev, killed in a police shootout on April 19, has been buried in a secret location outside Massachusetts, ending a search for a community willing to take his remains.

“As a result of our public appeal . . . a courageous and compassionate individual came forward to provide the assistance needed to properly bury the deceased,” Worcester, Mass., police said in a statement.

Peter Stefan, director of the Worcester funeral home that had been holding the body, said only that it was buried out of state.

Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick said he hoped attention would now turn to caring for the victims.

Meanwhile, Tamerlan’s widow, Katherine Russell, has hired New York lawyer Joshua Dratel. He represented Gitmo detainee David Hicks, who attended an al Qaeda-linked Afghan training camp.
