Knicks’ big 3-pointers send Melo & Co. over Celtics

Next stop: South Beach.

The Knicks extended their winning streak to a season-high eight games Sunday barrage with a 3-point barrage that produced a 108-89 victory over the Celtics at the Garden.

It is their longest winning streak since November 2010, and they carry it to Miami for Tuesday’s showdown against the defending champion Heat, whose 27-game win streak was snapped last week.

The Knicks shot 11 of 16 from 3-point land in the first half to highlight the win. Carmelo Anthony finished with 24 points as the Knicks took the season series from the Celtics, 3-1. J.R. Smith added 15 points off the bench (7-of-10 from the free-throw line) as his streak of three straight 30-plus games ended. Raymond Felton added 18 points, including a halftime buzzer-beater from halfcourt.

The Knicks and Celtics could meet in the first round of the playoffs as the 2-vs.-7 matchup. The Knicks (46-26) are tied with the Pacers for second in the East.

A series of “Boston sucks’’ chants rose up from the Garden fans in the fourth quarter. With their second blowout win over the Celtics in five days, the Knicks took the season series against their rivals for the first time since 2003-04.

The Knicks can also take the season series from the Heat with a win Tuesday. They have won two of the three meetings, but those victories came in November and December.

“We beat Miami one time without Melo, but Miami is playing at such a high level than when we played them back then, it’s not funny,’’ Mike Woodson said before the Boston win. “It will be interesting to see where we stand, but I’d like to see where we stand if we had a full deck. If that’s going to happen, I don’t know.’’

The Heat, perhaps in retaliation for the Spurs not bringing their star players to a November game in Miami, sat LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Mario Chalmers Sunday night due to minor injuries for their victory in San Antonio.

When asked whether they would play against the Knicks, Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said, “We will have to see who is available.”

The Knicks hope Kenyon Martin is available. Their starting center during the win streak left the game in the second quarter with a strained left abdominal muscle. He started the second half, but then was removed for the fourth quarter because of the injury, according to the Knicks. Martin has been starting for Tyson Chandler (neck).

Felton’s halfcourt 49-foot prayer off the glass gave the Knicks a 65-48 lead at halftime and even brought a smile to Woodson’s face as he walked off the court.

Felton raced down the right side of the court before unleashing the bomb. He chest-bumped Smith and slapped high-fives with fans along the courtside seats. It was the third straight game the Knicks rang up 60-plus points in the first half as they shot 51.2 percent from the field and 68.8 percent on 3-pointers.

The Celtics scored well enough, but couldn’t stop the Knicks. Jeff Green swooped to the basket for layups and 16 first-half points en route to finishing with 26. Paul Pierce added 15 points in the first two quarters and finished with 24.

Anthony (18), Felton (12 points) and Smith (11) all were in double figures by halftime, and Steve Novak and Chris Copeland each were 2 of 2 on 3-pointers. Seven different Knicks hit from the 3-point land by halftime.

The Knicks led 28-23 after the first quarter as Anthony had 12 points in the period and Smith hit a jumper with two seconds left. The Knicks broke it open in the second quarter as Copeland ignited the surge with two straight treys and a driving shot that led to a three-point play. Novak hit a pair of 3-pointers that put the Knicks up 48-34 with 6:21 left in the half.
