Tennis star Radwanska dropped by Polish Catholic group after posing naked for ESPN’s Body Issue: report

Agnieszka Radwanska, the No. 4 ranked player in the world, was booted by a Catholic youth group that runs a campaign promoting faith, after a picture of her nude appeared in ESPN’s Body Issue.

The picture features Radwanska, 24, sitting naked by a pool filled with tennis balls.

Radwanska, who has marched for causes of right-leaning groups and was an ambassador for a campaign called, “I’m not ashamed of Jesus,” run by the Youth Crusade, will no longer be associated with the group because of what they feel was, “immoral behavior,” according to the Wall Street Journal.

Though Radwanska covers certain body parts, the picture ignited controversy in her native country after landing on the front page of one of the nation’s most popular weeklies, Wprost.

Last week, Poland’s president honored Radwanska for reaching the semi-finals at Wimbledon.

ESPN The Magazine Editor-in-Chief Chad Millman told the Associated Press the athletes are “proud of the work they put into being strong and powerful and we’re proud that they trust us to capture that.”
