Kid stuff

Today

QUIRKY QUEEN: If you like Bjork, you’ll love Elska, a similarly eccentric Icelandic singer whose just-for-kids stories and songs feature winter bears, a “colony of lost socks” and a friendly “Goobler.” Fantastic, funky and definitely fun. 11 a.m., $20 for adults, $13 for kids. Symphony Space, 2537 Broadway, at 95th Street; 212-864-5400, symphonyspace.org

SPRING FLING: Winter is over at last, sort of, so pack away the coats and scarves and ring in spring at the Museum of Chinese in America’s “Qing Ming” festival, a traditional change-of-season celebration for families. Drop-in seed planting workshops, a reading of “Grandma Panda’s China Storybook” and kite-making workshops (for those warm breezes) are just a few of the ways kids can spend the day. Noon, $10 for adults, $6 for kids. 215 Centre St., between Grand and Howard streets; 212-619-4785, mocanyc.org

LAND OF THE LOST: Live out your wildest “Jurassic Park” fantasies at “Field Station: Dinosaurs,” a brand-new outdoor exhibition in the New Jersey Meadowlands, featuring 31 life-size animatronic dinosaurs built with facial-recognition technology and sensors triggered by the movements of unsuspecting visitors. While you’re there, take part in a dino-theme quiz show or dig for bones. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday. $17.50 to $35, depending on activities. Laurel Hill Park, One Dinosaur Way, Secaucus; 855-999-9010, fieldstationdinosaurs.com

TOMORROW

INTERGALACTIC: Sludge monsters from outer space, a world-dominating villain and a backdrop of dynamic comic-book images make “The Intergalactic Nemesis” at the New Vic the most entertaining radio play your kids will ever experience (and possibly the only radio play). Just three actors voice hundreds of characters, backed by a live keyboard score. Noon and 5 p.m., $14 to $38. 209 W. 42nd St., between Seventh and Eighth avenues; 646-223-3010, newvictory.org
