Kim & Kris split the diff

LOS ANGELES — Lawyers for reality-TV star Kim Kardashian and Nets forward Kris Humphries told a judge yesterday they’ve settled their highly publicized divorce case.

They’ll officially run out the clock on the 72-day union when a judge signs it on June 19.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed in court.

But sources close to Kardashian insisted she didn’t have to pay a dime of Humphries’ demand for $7 million in damages.

A divorce trial would have been tough on Humphries’ nearly year-round basketball career.

“It came down to scheduling,” said an insider in Humphries’ camp. “Missing practice would not have been good for him.”

Humphries missed an LA court date last week and had faced potential contempt of court charges. That case was dropped after the deal was struck.

“It got to the point where it was starting to affect his work,” said the Humphries insider, adding that Nets GM Billy King had urged him to settle sooner rather than later.

“He either had to fly out to LA and miss practice, or he had to drop the case. His commitment is to basketball. He’s a jock. That’s the bottom line.”
