Matt’s all, folks: NBC axes Perry sitcom

The curse of “Friends” continues.

NBC has cancelled ex-“Friends” star Matthew Perry’s sitcom, “Go On,” after only one ratings-challenged season. Perry played a radio host interacting with a wacky group of fellow grievers after his wife’s death.

It’s his third consecutive series failure after “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” and “Mr. Sunshine.”

None of Perry’s fellow “Friends” cast members have had much success on series TV since the show ended in 2004 — though Matt LeBlanc (Showtime’s “Episodes”) and Courteney Cox (“Cougar Town,” now airing on TBS) have had decent runs.
