Jets trade for running back Chris Ivory

The Jets made a trade Friday night, sending their fourth-round pick in the draft to the Saints for running back Chris Ivory.

The two teams have been talking about this trade for several weeks, and the Jets even had Ivory in for a visit while he was a restricted free agent. The fourth-round pick is the 106th overall.

The Jets need help at running back after watching Shonn Greene leave for the Titans as a free agent. They now have Ivory, Bilal Powell, Mike Goodson and Joe McKnight in their backfield.

Ivory, 25, ran for 217 yards last season for the Saints with two touchdowns.
