Gang of QBs no guarantee

* Will somebody tell the Jets quarterback quantity does not equal quarterback quality? The Jets’ six quarterbacks together don’t equal a Tom Brady or a Peyton Manning. Another long season awaits!

Island of despair

* The Jets, a team that has the chutzpah to force-feed personal seat licenses down the throats of a loyal fan base has “traded” Darrelle Revis to the Buccaneers for two draft picks — and what amounts to guaranteeing the Jets will have the first pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. What I also know is anyone ever buying a PSL from these used-car dealers is a sucker of the buying-the-Brooklyn-Bridge variety. J-E-T-S, Nyets, Nyets, Nyets!

Woody’s top coach

* In my eyes, no one deserves NBA Coach of the Year more than the Knicks’ Mike Woodson. He has been phenomenal this season. He had no Amar’e Stoudemire for almost the entire season, convinced J.R. Smith to put his ego aside and take on a bench role, constructed a productive rotation with a mix of veterans and rookies (Chris Copeland and Pablo Prigioni) and led this team through injuries and slumps to finish with their best record in over a decade. George Karl, Eric Spoelstra and Tom Thibodeau all did great jobs — but Woody has been the coach to finally get the Knicks headed back in the right direction, which Don Chaney, Lenny Wilkins, Larry Brown, Isaiah Thomas and Mike D’Antoni couldn’t do. On top of all that, you can give Glen Grunwald Executive of the Year as well.

Papi mouth

* While New Yorkers stand united with Bostonians against terrorism, most did not appreciate the display of language by the Red Sox’s David Ortiz. “This is our f—king city” does not describe a metropolis that contains some of the finer colleges and universities in the nation. It would be interesting to know how parents at the game explained Ortiz’s profanity to the little baseball fans enjoying America’s pastime. Stick to baseball, David. Would Ted Williams have addressed the fans in similar fashion?
