MTA workers busted for allegedly trying to break into spa, smashing cab window

Two MTA workers were arrested in Manhattan in separate incidents less than two hours apart this weekend.

An off-duty MTA worker first was busted for allegedly trying to break into an East Village spa.

Anthony Davis, 24, was arrested around 10:55 p.m. Saturday after carrying a toolbox into the Waterfront Spa on First Avenue near Second Street and trying to push in several doors inside the business, sources said. He was charged with third-degree burglary.

Around 11:45 p.m. Saturday, a city bus driver was then arrested for smashing the rear window of a cab in a fit of road rage on 34th Street, police sources said.

Bus driver Frantz Vancol, 42, was driving an empty M34 on West 34th Street when he and a cab driver began cutting each other off, driving aggressively and shouting, sources said.

When the bus approached Ninth Avenue, the bus driver hurled a Snapple bottle at the cab’s rear window, shattering the glass, sources added.

The cab didn’t have any passengers at the time, and no one was injured, police said.

Vancol was charged with criminal mischief, police said.
