Agent: Gronkowski set to face Jets

It appears Tom Brady will have one of his favorite targets back Sunday when the Jets face the Patriots.

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has been cleared by doctors to play, according to several media outlets. Gronkowski has not played at all this season after undergoing a series of forearm surgeries in the offseason.

“[Gronkowski] has now been cleared by all his doctors to play on Sunday in the Jets game,” his agent Drew Rosenhaus said.

There has been mystery around when Gronkowski would play since he returned to practice last month. He has been limited in practice this week, but it appears he’ll make his return against the Jets.

Asked about Rosenhaus’ report, Patriots coach Bill Belichick offered this deep response to reporters in Foxborough: “We’ll list the injuries at the end of the day like we always do on Friday.”

The Jets have been preparing all week as if Gronkowski would play, so this won’t affect their preparation.
