Ex-Miss Russia in the clear after drug rehab

And the title of Miss Rehabilitated goes to …

A Manhattan judge agreed to dismiss charges against former Miss Russia Anna Malova Tuesday after she completed two often rocky years of drug treatment.

The troubled one-time Miss Universe finalist was accused of swiping prescription pads from two shrinks in 2011 to supply her narcotics addiction and shoplifting sandals from a Strawberry clothing store.

But she’s kicked her pill popping ways and is no longer wobbling down the catwalk, her defense lawyer Robert Gottlieb told Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Richard Weinberg Tuesday.

But prosecutors didn’t think Malova was ready to graduate from the city-mandated program just yet and argued for a three -month postponement, citing a May 1st relapse when she tested positive for Xanax and Klonopin.

Weinberg disagreed and graduated Malova despite prosecutors’ concerns.

He congratulated the beauty queen and presented her with a certificate of completion. “This is a great accomplishment, you should be very proud of yourself,” he said.

Malova smiled broadly clutching a gray Versace purse in one hand and her certificate in another as she proudly left court.

The blond bombshell looked sharp in a black skirt suit and gold trimmed black stiletto booties.

“I was lost and made a mistake but I’ve learned my lesson,” she said. “It’s been difficult this whole process but it took me to sobriety and to a place where I can function and be a productive member of society.”

Unable to find a paying job with the negative publicity surround her case, Malova, 44, has been volunteering at a Manhattan music company, she said.

But with the drug and shoplifting charges behind her, she hopes to find a paying job again. The 1998 Miss Russia was once romantically linked to comedian Gary Shandling and billionaire George Soros.
