Prince of tides’ Jersey tour

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is a tour guide fit for a prince.

Britain’s Prince Harry yesterday got a firsthand look at Jersey Shore areas devastated by Hurricane Sandy, courtesy of the Garden State governor.

They strolled along a rebuilt boardwalk, played carnival games and gazed out at the Seaside Heights roller coaster, which had been washed into the ocean — still upright — during the storm.

Christie also introduced the prince to first responders and construction workers still rebuilding their communities.

“This used to be a house?” Harry, 28, asked at one barren spot in Mantoloking, where residents flew Union Jacks.

Seaside Heights Fire Chief William Rumbolo said, “I never expected to see the prince. Shaking the prince’s hand and having him say thanks was a great feeling.”

Brianna Marchal, 19, and her sister Taylor, 21, of Manahawkin, couldn’t help but swoon.

“It’s the whole fairy-tale thing,” Taylor said. “He’s a real-live prince, here in New Jersey. We both want to marry him.”

Also yesterday, Harry attended a Chelsea cocktail party promoting British tourism, threw out the first pitch at a Harlem Little League game, and hosted a Manhattan fund-raiser for his charity, The Royal Foundation.
