Metro-North New Haven line to resume full service Wednesday

The Metro-North Railroad will resume full service on its New Haven line on Wednesday — for the first time since Friday’s rush-hour derailment that left 72 injured, including two critically, transit officials said.

Service should be up and running by the peak a.m. hours, officials said.

A broken section of rail is believed to have caused the crash.

Commuters on sections of the disrupted train line have been shuttled in special buses to other stations while track repairs were being done.
