Selig mum on probe

Major League Baseball has yet to make a statement regarding the ESPN report that revealed MLB is looking to suspend some 20 players, including Alex Rodriguez and Ryan Braun, up to 100 games apiece for their alleged connection to Biogenesis.

Commissioner Bud Selig declined to offer any information last night.

“No, we’re in the midst of a very comprehensive investigation,” Selig said at the MLB Network’s headquarters in Secaucus after announcing the first round of the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft. “And it would be inappropriate for me to comment and therefore I won’t. That’s the end of that.”
