‘Oh don’t make me laugh’ Jay-Z raps about NFLPA’s investigation in his agency

Jay-Z does not consider an NFLPA investigation one of his 99 problems.

The rapper, whose agency Roc Nation is being investigated by the Player’s Association because of Jay-Z’s alleged involvement in the recruitment of Jets quarterback Geno Smith, seems to have no concerns over the outcome of the situation in a new song.

With his new album, “Magna Carta Holy Grail,” coming out this week, the rapper revealed the lyrics to his new song, “La Familia” on Tuesday, which featured the verse: “NFL investigations/ Oh don’t make me laugh/ FBI investigation/ We stood up to that.”

The NFLPA is investigating whether Smith’s agent, Kim Miale, committed a violation of the “runner rule,” and whether Smith was influenced in meetings with Jay-Z, a problem since the rapper is not a certified sports agent.

Miale could face sanctions, which could include the suspension of her certification, but Jay-Z cannot be penalized by the NFLPA.

Smith signed with the agency short after being taken by the Jets in this year’s draft, having fired his previous representatives after sliding into the second round.
