I am a security guard?

That was the question someone must have written on “Anchorman” star Will Ferrell’s imaginary teleprompter because the comedian dressed the part at last night’s Lakers’ game against the Phoenix Suns.

Sporting a 1970’s style mustache, Staple’s Center “red coat” security guard uniform and a name tag that read “Ted Vagina,” Ferrell was all business as he worked the sidelines making sure no unruly fans interrupted the Laker Girls as they danced on the court.

All was seemingly well until one famous fan apparently got a little too rowdy for the funnyman’s liking as former Laker Shaquille O’Neal was escorted from his courtside seat by the mustachioed merrymaker.

It isn’t clear why Ferrell showed up at the game playing the part of a security guard, but the stunt fits in with his general theme of releasing oddball comedy bits in strange places as evidenced by his Old Milwaukee beer commercial, which was shown during the Super Bowl only in certain parts of Texas, Montana and Oklahoma.
