SISTER ACT: AFTER MAKEOVER, NEVER THE TWINS SHALL MEET A MIRROR IMAGE

When twins Debbi and Terri Colaneri were growing up, they shared a room – and everything else.

The identical duo, now 40, bought the same clothes, listened to the same music and always, always had the same hair cut.

Only their personalities were different.

“Our hair has never changed – it’s always been the same [shoulder-length] chestnut brown,” Terri said. “Now, we’re ready for a change.”

Debbi, now the mother of three young children and a part-time tae kwon do teacher, was an energetic party girl.

Terri, owner of a Feng Shui business and mom to a baby daughter, was Miss Goody Two Shoes.

As adults, they’re still hard to tell apart – even their husbands get them confused.

Until now.

To help them, The Post enlisted Stephen Sanna of Midtown’s Pierre Michel Salon.

Sanna took Terri’s management job into account (she wears suits and heels to work) and cut her hair into a short, “shredded” bob and covered her gray with three shades of blond.

The result: an edgy look that isn’t too severe for the office.

For Debbi, who wears slim workout gear to teach classes, Sanna suggested a longer, layered shag and gave her chunky red and auburn highlights.

The verdict? “It’s amazing,” Terri said, speaking for both women. “It’s just what we needed.”

Wonder what the family will say.
