Antrel Rolle didn’t take his Pro Bowl snub quietly Friday night.
Chosen as only a second alternate at strong safety despite leading the 6-9 Giants in interceptions and tackles this season, Rolle immediately went on Twitter and profanely blasted the selection process.
“Tell me which safety has better numbers and made more game changing plays than me this year???? I’ll wait!!!! This probowl sh-t is a joke,” Rolle wrote shortly after the teams were announced.
Rolle, who has six interceptions and 73 tackles heading into Sunday’s season finale, followed up with a second tweet: “That’s why I play for myself, teammates, organization, family & fans. Nothing else matters. All this has done is added more fuel to my fire!”
Rolle was the only Giant to receive Pro Bowl consideration. Justin Tuck isn’t even an alternate, despite nine sacks.
