Box office back from the ‘Dead’

Resurrected demons and resurrected dinosaurs helped put some life back into the weekend box office.

The demonic horror remake “Evil Dead” debuted at No. 1, with $26 million, according to studio estimates yesterday.

In a tight fight for second place were two holdovers, the animated comedy “The Croods” and the action flick “G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” both with an estimated $21.1 million.

Steven Spielberg’s 3-D debut of his 1993 dinosaur blockbuster “Jurassic Park” came in fourth, with $18.2 million.
