Southern comfort tables

The Garment District has never been this chic.

An American restaurant with a Southern twist, Parker & Quinn, will open May 1 at the new Refinery Hotel.

The 3,400-square-foot restaurant will serve locally sourced breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as provide room service to the 197-room boutique hotel at 63 W. 38th St.

It is all part of the district’s revitalization. As Side Dish first reported, celebrity chef David Burke will open a restaurant in the New York Archer Hotel, which will debut next year at 45 W. 38th St.

Parker & Quinn’s chef is Jeffrey Forrest, formerly of SoHo Grand Hotel and The Plaza Food Hall by Todd English. Forrest got his start training under Daniel Boulud and Sylvain Portay at the original Le Cirque.

In Good Company Hospitality, the management team behind Parker & Quinn, will also oversee the Refinery Hotel’s lobby bar, Winnie’s, and its 3,500-square-foot indoor/outdoor rooftop lounge.

The dining room will seat 120 people, while the tavern seats 40.
