WOODY HITS BACK AT FOE

The battle between Woody Allen and Dov Charney is getting even more personal — with the Oscar-winning filmmaker charging the hipster clothier is engaged in a “despicable effort to intimidate” him.

The war began when Allen filed a $10 million suit charging Charney with using Allen’s image without permission in ads for Charney’s apparel line.

Things got dirty when Charney dredged up the sex scandal involving the filmmaker’s romance with and marriage to Soon-Yi Previn, the adopted daughter of ex-girlfriend Mia Farrow, in a bid to prove Woody’s image wasn’t worth much.

“The clear, underlying objective of this latest . . . campaign is to seek to tarnish Mr. Allen’s reputation a second time,” his lawyers wrote in the Manhattan federal court filing yesterday.

Allen insisted his endorsement is still valuable, saying he has received “numerous unsolicited [ad] offers . . . most in the multimillion-dollar range.”
