Furious Murray Hill residents say the guests at a hip new hotel are diving them crazy by blasting music, partying outside the building and turning the sidewalk into a toilet.
“We smell urine, and a lot of people who come to visit us say it stinks,” said one neighbor, who fears the antics at The Pod 39 hotel on East 39th Street will send her property values south.
“They smoke, drink, spit. They pee,” added Felix Cardenas, a nearby building super. “Sometimes they even s–t.”
Neither the city nor the hotel has addressed their complaints, neighbors said.
“I complained to the hotel manager, the bar manager. They [shrug and] say, ‘Sorry,’ ” Cardenas said.
Pod Hotels Managing Director David Bernstein wrote in a statement. “We’ve been made aware of a few complaints, and we are addressing them.”
