A Jet Blue flight had an emergency landing this morning at Kennedy Airport after a bird strike, authorities said.
The plane had just taken off from White Plains when it struck the bird, and was heading to Fort Myers in Florida, according to a Jet Blue spokeswoman.
It was diverted to JFK for inspection, and landed safely about 8:25 a.m., the spokeswoman added.
Passengers were put on a new plane, which is scheduled to land in Fort Myers at 12:45 p.m.
