Detective busted for driving drunk in Bronx: cops

An on-duty detective was busted for boozed-up driving in Mott Haven, cops said today.

Inspector Kevin Catalina, the commanding officer of the 44th precinct, spotted David Rojas, 42, driving a 2011 Mitsubishi Galant while he appeared to be intoxicated about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday on East 149th Street near Walton Avenue, according to a Criminal Court complaint.

Rojas’ eyes were glassy, his face was flushed and alcohol could be smelled on his breath, authorities said. He scored .07 when he took a breathalyzer.

He was arrested and suspended at the 44th precinct and charged with two counts of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
