THE NEW TWENTY

THERE isn’t much new in “The New Twenty,” a formu laic account of five college buddies male and female, straight and gay coping with the arrival of the big 3-0 in Manhattan.

Sex, drugs and money are the chief concerns of our merry band of yuppies and couch potatoes.

Chris Mason Johnson directs from a script he co-wrote, giving us little reason to care for his physically attractive, emotionally empty characters.

Wait for the DVD if you really must see this.

Running time: 92 minutes. Not rated (sex, nudity, drug use, profanity). At the Quad, 13th Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues.
