Blinging it all on herself

An accused burglar-of-the-stars accessorized her way into additional criminal charges yesterday after allegedly wearing Lindsay Lohan’s stolen beaded necklace to court, authorities said.

Courtney Leigh Ames, 19, an alleged member of the “Bling Ring” burglary gang, was hit with additional charges of receiving stolen property, Los Angeles County prosecutors said.

Ames, who had been previously charged with residential burglary, earned one of the “receiving” counts by allegedly wearing Lohan’s long beaded necklace to a Dec. 2 arraignment.

An eagle-eyed LAPD detective spotted the necklace in court, prompting cops to quietly ask Ames to step outside where she surrendered the bling to authorities, law-enforcement sources said.

However, Ames is not being charged with breaking into Lohan’s home.

Lohan’s spokeswoman did not return messages seeking comment.

Ames’ lawyer said his client didn’t admit to having a stolen necklace.

“She [Ames] was wearing a necklace,” her defense lawyer, Robert Schwartz, said outside yesterday’s pretrial hearing for the gang.

“The issue is whether she knew it was stolen.”

Ames’ other receiving charge stems from a leather jacket belonging to Paris Hilton, cops said.

Alleged fellow ring member Diana Tamayo, 19, was also hit an additional receiving charge yesterday for allegedly having stolen goods belonging to “The O.C.” star Rachel Bilson.

Tamayo was previously charged with two counts of residential burglary. Some of Bilson’s Chanel makeup was found at Tamayo’s home, officials said.

Ames, Tamayo and co-defendants Nicholas Prugo and Roy Lopez Jr. were in court for yesterday’s pretrial hearing, and are set to return on Feb. 10.

The fifth and sixth alleged members of the ring, Alexis Neirs, 18, and Rachel Lee, 19, have pre-trial hearings set for Tuesday.

The ring allegedly broke into a string of celebrity homes between December 2008 and Nov. 20 of last year.

They allegedly targeted bold-face names like Hilton, Bilson, Lohan, Audrina Patridge, Ashley Tisdale, Brian Austin Green, Megan Fox and Orlando Bloom.

Lee and Prugo are accused of being the masterminds of the ring, having gleaned most of their celebrity information — such as addresses and the stars’ whereabouts — by surfing the Internet.

Maxim magazine reported last month that police believe Lee planted fake stories in the media that the celebrity burglaries were inside jobs, in hopes leading investigators away from the ring. With Post Wire Services
