Former “Taxi” star and “Celebrity Rehab” alumni Jeff Conaway fell down a staircase at his Los Angeles home yesterday — breaking his hip, his arm, fracturing his neck and suffering a brain hemorrhage.
Conaway, 59, was sent to emergency surgery last night.
His girlfriend, Vikki Lizzi, called police Monday night saying he’d accidentally fallen.
Conaway gained fame in the late 1970s for his starring roles in “Grease” and the hit TV series “Taxi.”
But in recent years, he was better known for his demons.
After admitting being addicted to cocaine, painkillers and alcohol, he was cast on the reality show “Celebrity Rehab.” But he was kicked off the show after just a few days when he was discovered smuggling crack into the rehab facility.
