Every family has a relative it would like to hide — and “American Idol” front-runner Crystal Bowersox is apparently no exception.
A woman claiming to be her aunt is whipping up support for Crystal this week on an S&M Web site.
The aunt, who has a profile on the web site fet- life.com and uses the online name “Sweet2U,” posted a vote-til-it-hurts appeal on behalf of her niece.
“Hey guys if you watch idol I have a niece named Crystal Bowersox who has made it to the finals, wwooo hhoo,” it reads.
“She is pretty and has dred-locks. you can see and hear her on UTUBE and go to Crystal Bowersox music.
“If you think she deserves it please vote for her, she has worked very hard to get this far and I am so very proud of her.”
The Web site, which requires visitors to register before entering, advertises itself as “BDSM & fetish community for kinksters by kinksters.”
The aunt describes herself on the site as “a 54-year-old submissive who is looking for a lifetime relationship,” according to a report by radaronline.com.
Crystal, a 24-year-old, single mom from suburban Toldeo, Ohio, has wowed the judges during the semi-final round of “Idol” — more than once being singled out as the singer to beat this year.
