Nicole Scherzinger iced out Olympic gold medal figure skater Evan Lysacek on last night’s “Dancing With the Stars” finale to claim the show’s cheesy mirror-ball trophy.
The Pussycat Dolls lead singer, who’d been a strong dancer all season, was the odds-on favorite to win the competition. She and partner Derek Hough scored a perfect 30 on their final dance for a total of 115.
ESPN reporter Erin Andrews — teamed with dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy — was eliminated early in the finale, leaving Scherzinger to battle Lysacek (teamed with Anna Trebunskaya).
