Lindsay Lohan likely headed to jail after ‘habitually’ violating probation

Troubled Hollywood wild child Lindsay Lohan could be facing another spell behind bars after violating the terms of her probation, TMZ reported Friday.

The “Mean Girls” actress, 23, was placed on three years’ probation and ordered to complete an alcohol rehabilitation program after pleading guilty to cocaine use and driving under the influence in August 2007.

But TMZ claimed that Lohan, who served 84 minutes of a one-day jail sentence for the offense, did not fulfill the alcohol education requirement — despite being warned by a Los Angeles judge that she would be jailed again if she did not comply.

“I am going to order (that) this has to be done. It’s been long enough. This has to be a top priority whether she has a job somewhere else or doesn’t, or something else comes up,” Judge Marsha Revel said during a hearing in December 2009, adding that Lohan must attend the classes once a week.

Instead, the famed party girl often attends the rehab course once every 21 days, TMZ said — enough for the school she is enrolled in not to report her to authorities, but in direct violation of court orders.

As a result, she is likely to face jail at a court progress hearing scheduled for May 20, on the grounds that she habitually violated the judge’s requirement, the website claimed.

Lohan’s lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley denied her client was in violation, saying, “We have received no negative written report from the program and contend Ms. Lohan is therefore in compliance.”
