Live NFL games on YouTube? That enticing possibility for football fans could become a possibility as the league’s Sunday Ticket deal with DirectTV is set to expire after the 2014 season.

Google CEO Larry Page and YouTube exec Robert Kyncl met with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Tuesday to discuss the rights to the country’s most popular sport, according to the tech website AllThingsD.com.

The Sunday Ticket, which broadcasts all the NFL games not available in your area, has had an exclusive deal with DirectTV since the two sides agreed to an extension in 2009. The satellite provider paid $4 billion for those rights through 2014.

A source told the website that meeting was just one of many the NFL was taking on their annual trip through Silicon Valley. Neither Google or the NFL have commented on the report.
