Man fatally shot during botched robbery at Brooklyn laundromat

A man was shot and killed late last night during the botched robbery of a Crown Heights Laundromat.

Yevgeniy Shamray, 45, a Russian native had worked as an assistant at the laundry for less than a year.

EMS arrived on scene minutes after the shooting and rushed the victim to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short while later of gunshot wounds to the chest and thigh.

The incident took place around 11:55 p.m. Monday, when one or more men entered the store and killed Shamray police said.
