Suspect in suitcase horror believed to be caught on video

This shocking video shows a man lugging a suitcase believed to be stuffed with the body of a murdered woman down a Harlem street early this morning.

The shocking footage shows the unidentified man dragging the wheeled luggage down East 114th Street early this morning, stopping for about 60 seconds as three people walk by.

The man, wearing a black jacket and hat, continues dragging the case again once the group passes.

A few moments later, he stops a second time for reasons unknown.

Then he continues walking out of the frame.

“He’s got a body in his suitcase and he’s just standing there like nothing’s going on,” said the source who provided the video. “I freaked out when I saw that.”

“[He’s] just standing there.”

At 12:15 a.m., mere moments after the video was shot, a passerby discovered the 28-year-old victim shoved inside a suitcase on East 114th Street and First Avenue, police said.

The gruesome find was made as the nosey man rifled through garbage pails, sources said.

When the man stumbled upon the suitcase, he opened it and a leg sprung out, sources added.

The startled passerby called cops, who responded and found a plastic bag wrapped over a portion of the victim’s head, sources said.

Blood was pooled inside the bottom of the suitcase, as well as on the sidewalk below, sources added.

The cause of death is neck compression and the case has been classified a homicide, said a spokeswoman for the city medical examiner’s office.

The victim, who has prior drug arrests, was clothed inside the suitcase, sources said.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls are confidential.
