Lifeguard Luis Lecodet is not only this week’s “Hottie of the Double-D”— he’s also our first ever “Angel of the Double-D!”
For the past 20 years, the heavenly hunk from East New York has been saving lives at pools across Brooklyn — but the Douglass-Degraw Pool at Third Avenue and Nevins Street is where his heart is moored.
“This is more of a family-type atmosphere,” Lecodet said. “Everyone communicates with each other very well here.”
And that’s why he thinks pool-goers continue to flock to the pool, which was nearly closed this summer by City Hall decimal-diddlers.
“Everyone who comes here trusts us,” he explained. “They believe we’re doing a good job. They have faith in us.”
When he’s not on pool-side patrol, Lecodet, 36, enjoys handball, football and cycling.
And sorry gals — he’s not out there to flirt.
“I don’t do it for the women — I do this to save lives,” he stated. “I always get satisfaction when I’m doing something good for the public.”
