For one night, at least, Citi Field fans will get to see baseball’s best.
The financially feeble Mets reportedly have been selected to host the 2013 All-Star Game.
The deal has not been finalized, but plans are in motion, Sports Illustrated said last night on its website.
The team, which has not played host to the game since 1964, will get to show off its new ballpark, which opened in 2009.
The Post first reported in 2009 Major League Baseball’s intentions to have the game at Citi Field.
