The donated corneas of tragic 9-year-old Christina Taylor Green have already saved the eyesight of two other children, her grieving father revealed yesterday.
“The fact that her organs were able to help people, that was an amazing thing to me,” John Green said.
“It’s just another thing that this little girl has given the world.”
Christina, granddaughter of former Met and Yankee manager Dallas Green, was the youngest victim in the Jan. 8 massacre in Tucson, Ariz., that left five other people dead.
Her dad said the knowledge that other kids are being helped by the loss of their little girl is a measure of comfort to her family.
“We really felt a lot of emotion about that,” he said. “That was something that really made us feel gifted, still. We just want to make sure that her little time here in the world was well spent.”
Aunt Kim Green told The Post, “This is exactly what Christina would’ve wanted, to be able to help someone else. [She’ll] be an angel in heaven watching over [those who received her organs].”
