TUNIS, Tunisia — Officers firing into an angry crowd of 1,000 people attacking the police station in the northwestern town of Kef yesterday killed two and wounded 17 others, according to Tunisia’s Interior Ministry.
A local journalist said via phone that the citizens became enraged when the police chief slapped a woman during a demonstration.
