PETERS IN THE PRESIDENT’S CORNER

Talk about telling it like it is (“Enabling Hezbollah,” Ralph Peters, PostOpinion, May 14).

I only hope, though probably in vain, that we won’t look back someday soon and dearly regret not following Ralph Peters’ advice.

I have yet to come across any article from any media outlet that so accurately portrays the current situation in the Middle East as does Peters’ “Enabling Hezbollah.”

Peters, please run for president.

Your voice of sanity and reason is so desperately needed in a world headed for the abyss.

If Sen. John McCain nominated Peters for his potential Cabinet, he would gain a needed boost.

Nevertheless, Peters is wrong to claim that the West will not destroy Hezbollah.

Just as the Axis powers were appeased prior to World War II, the Axis of Evil is now being treated likewise, and we will pay for this recurring mistake.

But the War on Terror has not yet had a Pearl Harbor moment. When it comes, all terrorist organizations will cower.

The collateral damage will be horrific.

Make sure to vote for whoever you believe can effectively bring “shock and awe” to the next level.

If Peters were smart, he would know that Western intervention in Lebanon would only strengthen Hezbollah.

Many Lebanese see Hezbollah as a resistance movement.

If the United States were to try to destroy Hezbollah, many Lebanese would see it as another act of US aggression in the Middle East.

Hezbollah is bigger than a terrorist group – it is an established political entity in Lebanon.
