Chelsea Handler to try her hand at producing

Call her Chelsea Early.

Comedian Chelsea Handler has a contract to work for NBCUniversal’s E! cable network until the end of 2014 — but already she’s drafted high-powered talent manager Irving Azoff to help open doors.

Handler, who hosts the “Chelsea Lately” late-night talk show, wants to explore new distribution opportunities and produce more TV shows.

Azoff will help guide the Handler brand and be an adviser to her company, Borderline Amazing Productions, alongside her existing agents at CAA.

“I’d like to see her get into management,” meaning growing talent to put on her shows, which include “Hello Ross,” and “After Lately,” Azoff told The Post.

Handler is the second TV client for Azoff, a longtime music agent who helped singer Christina Aguilera transition into a judge slot on NBC’s “The Voice.”
