PREDICTABLE FLICK WON’T MAKE YOU MISTY

THE clichés are thicker than the “Steam” in Kyle Schick ner’s hackneyed dramedy, which quickly goes up in smoke despite the considerable talents of Ruby Dee, Ally Sheedy and dishy newcomer Kate Siegel.

When they aren’t sharing a sauna together, Dee’s widow is being romanced by a kindly widower, Sheedy’s divorced soccer mom is hooking up with a man half her age, and Catholic college student Siegel is getting it on with a hot lesbian classmate.

Each of the three skin-deep stories plays out exactly the way you think it will. Think “Love, Indie Style.”

Running time: 116 minutes. Not rated (sexuality, profanity). At the Cinema Village, 12th Street east of Fifth Avenue.
