Hopper cancer shock

‘Crash” star Dennis Hopper, 73, has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Hopper, who just finished shooting the STARZ show’s second season, is cancelling his travel plans to focus on his treatment, according to his manager, Sam Maydew.

He’s being cared for through a “special program” at the University of Southern California.

“We’re hoping for the best,” Maydew said.

Hopper was forced to cancel his appearance at an exhibition at the Australian Center for the Moving Image in Melbourne called “Dennis Hopper and the New Hollywood,” a collection of artwork and photography by the actor.

The veteran movie actor (“Apocalypse Now,” “Blue Velvet,” “Hoosiers”) has several film projects in the works.
