‘1’-derful! fans set for Yanks’ clincher

PHIALDELPHIA — We’re one win away!

Fans hailed A-Rod as Mr. November last night after he sparked the Yankees’ offense — and silenced the Phillies’ offensive fans — in a 7-4 Bronx Bomber victory in Game 4 of the World Series.

The Yanks hold a 3-1 stranglehold on the Series, and now stand just 27 outs away from world title No. 27 in club history.

“I usually don’t like to say it’s over, but the wind is out of the Phillies’ sails now!” shouted Tommy Mancuso, 36, of Monroe NY, who began the day at Giants Stadium watching the Jets before high-tailing it down the Turnpike to see the Yanks.

“I came here to take back the trophy that’s rightfully ours — and the last game is tomorrow!”

Xavier Palacios, 40, of Huntington, LI, who couldn’t hide his joy in the Citizens Bank Park parking lot, put it this way: “We’re loving it!”

“This is over,” he added — and said of Philly fans, “We took their hearts out today!”

Alex Strauss, 24, heard plenty of nasty catcalls in the stands during the game, but said things were mostly mellow.

“It’s too cold to fight and the beers are too expensive for Philly fans to be rowdy,” said Strauss, who lives in Long Beach, LI.

But it wasn’t all smiles for A-Rod’s pals.

Two men in his entourage, seated near his gal pal, Kate Hudson, and her stepdad, Kurt Russell, were thrown out of the park when they taunted Philadelphia fans.

Back in The Bronx, the Bombers threw open the doors of Yankee Stadium and welcomed 9,000 pinstripe faithful inside to watch on the ballpark’s big screen.

The crowd was virtually all Yankee lovers — especially after Stadium security threw out at least six Phillie fans who tried to incite the crowd by flipping the finger.

“It was like I was there [in Philadelphia]!” shouted Clay Francis, 51, of The Bronx, predicting a clinching victory in Game 5 tonight.

“They’re not coming back until the parade. Go Yankees!”

Fans spilled onto River Avenue after Mariano Rivera recorded the final out, and filled the Bronx night with cheers.

“I’ve been blessed to see this here,” said Lucy Brendill, 28. “The Yankees rule the world. God Bless Alex Rodriguez!”

Another Yankee loyalist, 39-year-old Phil Kasan of Brooklyn, predicted the Bombers’ new ballpark will be the site of many celebrations to come.

“A-Rod is leading them to the promised land!” he said. “This is a start of new memories and a new dynasty here across the street.”
