A Midtown stable won’t be torn down until months after the holiday season, a city spokesman said yesterday.
Hansom-cab drivers feared the shutdown would force them to miss out on holiday tourists looking for horse rides around Central Park.
But demolition of the city-owned building on West 45th Street that houses Shamrock Stables isn’t slated to begin until June, said a city Housing Preservation and Development spokesman.
