Gillibrand can’t crack 50% barrier

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is still struggling to hit the magic “50” mark against her three possible Republican opponents, even after her biggest potential fall challenger, GOP ex-Gov. George Pataki, made it clear he won’t run, according to a survey released yesterday.

She leads three potential GOP foes by 20 points, but can only muster 46 percent against each of them, according to the Siena College Polling Institute.

And, although it’s been 15 months since she took office, 41 percent say they still don’t know enough about her to form an opinion.
